I’m moving to a new hosting provider: Linode! It has faster servers, more control and root access at the same price as my current hosting provider: Hostinger.

It will take me some time to fully migrate all of my services, but I will inform about when will the site be down.

One of the coolest features about Linode is that you can choose which OS you want to install from a list with many of them. So, as obvious, I installed the most stable and server-ready OS: Alma Linux 8 Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Arch.

Migrated websites: as of December 18, 2021, I’ve already migrated my downloads server, and renamed it to cdn.lumito.net, even though it currently isn’t a CDN (but it’ll be in a short period of time). I also have the databases properly configured, so I can start migrating my WordPress installations to the new server.

New server specs:

  • OS: Arch Linux (rolling release)
  • vCPUs: 1
  • RAM: 2 GB
  • Bandwith: 2 Gb/s
  • PHP: 8
  • Location: London, UK

Last but not least, new services are about to arrive. Since I have root access, I have more possibilities than ever to create and publish more advanced services.

I hope you liked this update and happy weekend!
